The Smapocke ( Smart Pocket ) was born out of the activities of JAPAN DAO, one of the world’s largest DAO communities and character studios, with members from over 150 countries.
The Beginning: “Japan NFT Museum”
In 2022, the founder launched the Japan NFT Museum, aiming to introduce Japan’s amazing creators and intellectual properties (IP) to the world via NFTs.
From these activities, numerous projects were born. The museum expanded into metaverse operations, eventually evolving into the large-scale organization known as JAPAN DAO.
At this stage, JAPAN DAO was positioned as a character brand running the Japan NFT Museum, introducing Japanese culture through original projects like AMATO, NIJI, and KAGURA.
Birth of Smapocke
By 2023, the fan base grew steadily with initiatives like launching the official character website, opening an official store, releasing theme songs, and broadcasting on large Tokyo screens. That year, the early version of Smapocke was released!
Global Expansion with Character Studio & U.S. Incorporation
In 2024, a cutting-edge character studio leveraging blockchain technology was established. This expanded partnerships with original IPs and anime productions, supporting corporate character strategies.

Another huge milestone: 1% of the total supply of the $SP token (closely tied to Smapocke) was sent into space aboard a SpaceX rocket. These tokens will be permanently locked!
Later that year, the U.S. entity IZANA World Inc. was founded, marking full-scale global expansion.
The Future of JAPAN DAO
As of 2025, JAPAN DAO is not only delivering manga, anime, games, music, and museum experiences, but is also expanding into fintech with tokens and cryptocurrencies through Smapocke.
With Web3 technologies such as IP and blockchain at its core, JAPAN DAO is entering a new era—bringing transformation to global markets and distribution.
